Heavyweight: JCB announces the construction of its second factory in North America

 Recently, JCB Group announced that it will build its second factory in North America to meet the rapidly growing customer demand in the North American market. The new factory is located in San Antonio, Texas, USA, covering an area of 67000 square meters. Construction will officially begin in early 2024, which will bring 1500 new jobs to the local area over the next five years.

 North America is the world's largest market for construction machinery and equipment, and the new factory will mainly produce and manufacture engineering machinery and equipment for North American customers. JCB North America currently has over 1000 employees, and the first North American factory that was put into operation in 2001 is located in Savannah, Georgia.

 Mr. Graeme Macdonald, CEO of JCB, said: The North American market is the most important part of JCB Group's future business growth and success, and now is the best time for JCB to expand its North American manufacturing business. As of now, JCB has 22 factories worldwide, located in 5 countries on four continents - the UK, India, the United States, China, and Brazil. JCB will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2025.
