Daily and Regular Maintenance of Excavators.

Proper maintenance of excavators is crucial to ensure their efficient operation and extend their service life. Below are some specific maintenance measures:

Daily Maintenance

  1. Inspect and Clean the Air Filter: Prevent dust and impurities from entering the engine, affecting its performance.
  2. Clean the Cooling System Internally: Ensure smooth coolant circulation to prevent overheating.
  3. Check and Tighten Track Shoe Bolts: Ensure tracks are secure to avoid accidents due to loosening.
  4. Check and Adjust Track Tension: Maintain proper tension to prolong track life.
  5. Inspect the Intake Heater: Ensure it functions properly in cold weather.
  6. Replace Bucket Teeth: Severely worn teeth affect digging efficiency and should be replaced promptly.
  7. Adjust Bucket Clearance: Keep the bucket clearance appropriate to prevent material leakage.
  8. Check Windshield Washer Fluid Level: Ensure sufficient fluid for clear visibility.
  9. Check and Adjust Air Conditioning: Ensure the AC system operates normally for a comfortable driving environment.
  10. Clean the Cabin Floor: Maintain a clean cabin to reduce dust and debris impact on the electrical system.

Regular Maintenance

  1. Every 100 Hours:
    • Clean dust from water and hydraulic oil coolers.
    • Drain water and sediment from the fuel tank.
    • Check engine ventilation, cooling, and insulation components.
    • Replace engine oil and oil filter.
    • Replace water separator and coolant filter.
    • Inspect air filter intake system for cleanliness.
    • Check belt tension.
    • Inspect and adjust oil level in the swing gearbox.
  2. Every 250 Hours:
    • Replace fuel filter and additional fuel filter.
    • Check engine valve clearance.
    • Check oil level in the final drive (first time at 500 hours, then every 1000 hours).
    • Check tension of fan and AC compressor belts.
    • Check battery electrolyte level.
    • Replace engine oil and oil filter.
  3. Every 500 Hours:
    • Grease the swing ring gear and drive gear.
    • Replace engine oil and oil filter.
    • Clean radiators, oil coolers, intercoolers, fuel coolers, and AC condensers.
    • Replace fuel filter.
    • Clean radiator fins.
    • Replace oil in the final drive (only the first time at 500 hours, then every 1000 hours).
    • Clean internal and external air filters of the AC system.
  4. Every 1000 Hours:
    • Check return oil level in the shock absorber housing.
    • Replace oil in the swing gearbox.
    • Inspect all fasteners on the turbocharger.
    • Check and replace generator belt.
    • Replace corrosion-resistant filters and oil in the final drive, etc.
  5. Every 2000 Hours and Beyond:
    • Clean the hydraulic tank strainer.
    • Inspect the generator and shock absorber.
    • Add other inspection and maintenance items as needed.

Additional Considerations

  1. Keep It Clean: Regularly clean the exterior and interior of the excavator to prevent dust and debris buildup.
  2. Proper Lubrication: Regularly check and replenish lubricants and greases at various lubrication points to ensure smooth operation of all components.
  3. Inspect Electrical Systems: Keep electrical systems dry and clean, regularly checking and cleaning wires, plugs, and connectors.
  4. Maintain Maintenance Records: Keep detailed records of maintenance content, timing, and component replacements to track maintenance history and provide references.

In summary, comprehensive and meticulous maintenance of excavators involves daily inspections, regular maintenance, and attention to detail. Only by doing so can we ensure the normal operation of excavators and extend their service life.
